• The person offering home enters their offer in system

• The person(s) in need (evacuee) contacts relief organization

• The person offering home agrees to waiver and background check

• Relief organization volunteer verifies need

• The offering appears in list of offers used by local relief organizations to search for housing for evacuees

• The volunteer enters evacuee information into search engine

• The volunteer receives list of available offerings matching need

• The volunteer and evacuee select suitable offering

• Background agency completes check and verifies evacuee**

• The person offering receives call and provides information needed for background checks

• The person offering receives call and gets details on person in need

• Once evacuee is verified**, the volunteer can gets contact details from system

·            The volunteer contacts person offering home and gets details for background check

• Background agency completes check and verifies person offering
• Once verified the volunteer contacts person offering gives details on evacuee and ensures a good match is made with both parties

• All parties agree to placement

• All parties agree to placement

• Volunteer marks offering and need as filled on system, match information is stored for monitoring

• The network of trust group in area contacted for assistance

• Volunteer contacts network of trust group in area and assists in arranging transportation. Makes sure that evacuee is in contact local Red Cross, United Way or Salvation Army upon arrival.

• The network of trust group assists with and monitors placement if agreed to by both parties

• ensure that placement is tracked in appropriate system and the privacy of the evacuee is protected
